EG’s Sustainability Strategy clients are organizations seeking to better understand the sustainability space and to implement strategies that will lead to across-the-board increases in sustainability for the organization.
Ogontz Avenue Revitalization Corporation (OARC)
The Ogontz Avenue Revitalization Corporation (OARC) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) community development corporation whose primary mission is to create and stimulate economic development while improving the quality of life for residents in West Oak Lane and other neighborhoods throughout the Northwest section of Philadelphia. OARC wants to incorporate the residents themselves into this plan and has worked with EG to develop a focus group and sustainability survey to gather their input and ideas. This information will help OARC guide the community on the path to a sustainable future.
OARC and EG used the survey and focus group in a study to find savings the community can achieve by living more sustainable lives. Total potential annual savings of $116 million dollars were found for West Oak Lane and the surrounding neighborhoods. Below is a summary of the findings.
EG also assisted OARC in planning their “Sustainable Living in NW Philadelphia: An Action Plan to Save Millions” event to announce the study and savings. Below are two WHYY articles covering the event.

EG produced a report on the future of the green stormwater industry titled “Capturing the Storm: Profits, Jobs, and Training in Philadelphia’s Stormwater Industry”. Using data collected through industry surveys, EG analyzed and identified this industry’s enormous potential for growth in the future.
